The entire Kindergarten group (5 classes) had the cutest "Stepping Up" program. Each class had a couple representatives to speak about something they learned throughout the year. Lincoln was chosen from his class to talk about kings. He walked very stately up to the microphone and repeated his memorized lines. Lincoln has always been such a sweet, affectionate boy: he gave all 3 directors of the school a hug after receiving his diploma. Only one other child gave out hugs.
After the program, we went into the individual class rooms for awards. Lincoln received a Super Reader, Math Whiz, and Patriot Champion (based on grades and behavior throughout the year).
I am still grateful for his wonderful teachers this year. They were such a loving introduction into full-time school! Lincoln got his picture taken with them at Monkey Joe's, where the kindergarten class got to celebrate the end of school. Mrs. Jones, his assistant, is to the left and Mrs. Sosebee is on the right.
