Gettin’ in the Spirit

Gingerbread Houses

Dorothy directed me, and it came out looking like a fortress or the boys said it looked like Bowser’s Castle.

Too much Egg Nog??

Belmont Christmas Parade:

Two kids were supposed to be in it this year, but due to nasty stomach bug, Dorothy, Drake and I just watched it.

Thanksgiving

It’s been our tradition for the past 5 years to go to the beach for Thanksgiving. This year, we invited Dave’s parents and the Young family to join us. The weather was perfect; the condo was great; and everyone stayed healthy until the last day ( that’s a record for us)!

Our 9-ty year olds!

Fun snuggles from Jen.

The water was freezing, but it didn’t stop us from going in. I surprised the kids by running into the water and riding a wave on a boogie board. I think I’m still cold from it, but totally worth it!!

We enjoyed all the pools, lazy river and hot tubs!

Dave and Grandma cooked up a yummy Thanksgiving dinner and we had a Pie night a few days later.

One day we played at a tide pool, where we got to see a sea urchin and some crabs. Drake got cold, so he snuggled up to Jeff.

When we got home, we visited the popcorn store and our new park on the last day.

Vacations always go by too fast, but we are thankful we got to spend time with some of our favorite people!!

The Gardens

I loooove Thanksgiving, and don’t typically like to do anything Christmas related until after my favorite Holiday, but the member preview night at the gardens is a family tradition.

The boys got to chat with Santa. Drake requested a fidgit spinner. Dorothy hung on Dave he whole time, but she whispered something about babies and barbies.

We walked around for a while. Dorothy had to use the bathroom, which was half a mile away. Ya know what...I’m not going to finish this story.

Here my mom and Lincoln are posing at the always gorgeous orchid tree. Drake and Dorothy weren’t cooperating. They must have forgotten they just spoke to Santa!!
