This picture is from a month ago, at the kindergarten performance of Snow White. It was adorable! Dave and I got a kick watching some of the kids really jam to the songs. Lincoln is in the top row all the way to the right.

He got to wear his green shirt on St. Patricks day. We didn't do much: Drake and Jack did a craft and we had green foods for dinner. I warned the boys that their #2 might be green from all the food coloring, and not to worry. They thought I was hilarious!

Lincoln learned about Colonial times, and had to choose which trade he would have done if he lived during that time. He chose blacksmithing. Dave and he worked together to make a metal hook.

Dorothy is getting more and more fun! She loves to give kisses, open mouth style. She is getting better at walking with only holding on to one of my hands. Just like her brothers, she is very curious and climbs on whatever she can.

Im pretty sure last night was her last night nursing. I'm not sad about it right now, I might be in a few days. I'm just really exciting to see her personality more!

She makes me laugh, because she wants shoes on all the time. It doesn't even have to be her shoes, but she will try to wear them!

Drake is still having a hard time keeping his hands off others and listening. We have changed up some things on his discipline chart and I'm hoping that will help. I know he is getting closer to 4, and that is my "light at the end of the tunnel."

Nap Time

I am writing this during nap time. I love nap time, and I love it even more when no one puts up a fuss about going down!

Spring is close by, so we have been getting a ton if rain. Drake and Jack helped me make play dough one rainy morning. I can't believe how easy it was to make!

Another good rainy day activity was visiting the library. I'm thrilled I captured
This sweet moment of Lincoln reading the library book about sharks to Drake. It's great that both of their stuffed animals are in this picture!

Drake and I mixed colors during our mommy preschool. He also dumped lots of glitter on the picture. Drake enjoys learning what he is interested in. The alphabet was not on his list! We have been practicing for a few months, so I gave him an incentive: the heatwave rescue bot. Man, he nailed that song after a few tries once heatwave came in the mail. I'm thinking it's going to be expensive once he gets in school!

I finally took Dorothy to the doctor about her ballet feet. I was told that orthopedics don't want to see kids until they are 2 and not walking. Her legs look fine, she just needs to get stronger and have more support in her feet. She now has fancy shoes, and has been able to take a few steps by herself. I thought she would take her shoes off, but she likes to wear them. She will bring them to me when they fall off or when I haven't put them on her yet. I still think it will be a while before she walks on her own, but she is making progress.

Snow Fun

The weatherman was right; we got some winter weather! In the past 2 weeks, school has been canceled 4 days and delayed 2.

On President's Day, we made George Washington and Abraham Lincoln cookies with our neighbors.

Later that night, the ice began. There was so much sleet, school was cancelled for 3 days! There wasn't a ton to play in, but the boys were doing handstands, eating the ice, and trying to make ice angels.

The next week we had a little snow on Tuesday and as the local weatherman said, "the sky was puking snow" on Wednesday night. We have a great spot in the kitchen to look outside. The pictures were from the small amount on Tuesday. The rest of the week, Dorothy and I had nasty colds, so we didn't venture out much.

The boys have been able to play in the snow 4 times this year, so I'm good now. Bring on Spring!

Lincoln begs me to play chess with him. It's a long game and hard to do with 2 little ones, but I have made it happen twice this past week. He is really good! I can't believe he remembers what all the pieces do. He will hush people when it is his turn and say, " concentration, concentration."

He was trying to stick up for me one day. Drake had just hit me in the face with Bear Bear and Dave had just finished scolding him that is was not ok. Lincoln chimed in, "yeah, because mom is old." Thanks buddy!

I need to do more praying for how to handle my Drake. I often feel like I am failing him. I just have to remind myself that I know he loves me and he knows I love him.

Dorothy is getting more and more curious! She is still not saying much and not walking, but that will come soon. She had 2 more teeth pop out this week. For Christmas, she got a toy phone. She loves to hold it up to Dave's ear and have him talk in it. Then she takes it back and says what she wants and gives it back to Dave. She could do this game for hours!

We were feeling better enough by Friday to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday. I know I am lucky to have such a great dad, and we had a really fun night!
