The rest of July

We tried many different crafts and science projects this summer; none that we absolutely loved though! Oh well, we will try again next summer!! We invited our neighbors over for an afternoon of making slime and crunchy cotton balls.

Slime was everywhere!! I’m not sure how smart it was to have that much gluey mess, but the kids had fun. They smashed the cotton balls with rocks and jumped on them. That was kind of a bust though.

Drake had a round of swim lessons, and he did great! He even learned how to dive.

We were excited to take Cain to water. He loved how cold it was, but didn’t really take off like his buddies did.

Our garden harvest!

On the spur of the moment, we went to Dan Nichols park on a Saturday with the Sherrills. We did it all while we were there, and didn’t get home until dinner.

The kids and I spent so much time at the pool. Life is hard for the Shinsel kids!

The library had a Harry Potter party. Lincoln and Dorothy tried to pin the nose on Voldemort.

Dave had the boys out one night, so Dorothy had I did a little shopping. She had her first experience at Ulta (a beauty store). She couldn’t believe she was allowed to try so many different make ups on. It took a lot of convincing to get her to leave the store.
