Easter Time

Easter is a fantastic holiday, simply because it has the best candy of all the seasons! Ok, just kidding, not about the candy, but for the reason. It is nice to reflect on the Savior's work and sacrifice during this time, and it has been interesting trying to teach Lincoln about Him. Dave and I put in a cartoon church movie about Christ's life, but had to turn it off when Satan came on to try and tempt Jesus. It was a mad dash to the tv to turn it off, because he is going through a "scared phase" and Satan looked really creepy. I am proud to write that Lincoln said his first whole prayer all by himself the other night. This is a real accomplishment, because Lincoln does not understand reverence and is usually very loud during prayers. It makes me happy something is finally sinking in.

I also love Easter because of the beautiful Spring weather. We have had some gorgeous sunny days, and all Lincoln wants to do is play outside. Unfortunately, we had a rainy morning the day of our egg hunt at our house. We had to hide the eggs upstairs, while the kids played downstairs.

I found this great Sesame Street egg decorating kit at Goodwill. Our Goodwill is sweet because Target donates all the left over seasonal items, so I got the egg dying kit, plastic eggs and an Easter basket all brand new and half the price I would have paid at Target. Anyway, we had fun times decorating eggs. Lincoln picked out the colors, stickers and holders for every egg.

He couldn't just sit still for pictures, he had to stick out his tongue.

And again...

Boys are so weird...and hilarious! Have a wonderful Easter everyone.

  1. Ok, I about died at "moster" Lincoln in that 4th to last picture! What is he even doing?! Such a silly, happy boy! Those eggs are impressive - hope they were tasty when he went in for a lick!

  2. Love the close-up where tongue meets egg! Ha ha, I love Easter too. Lex finally won the Easter egg hunt this year between her, nojah and the dog. She was so proud.
