"Stop it" This is his absolute favorite. He says it to his toys, he rephrases things to include stop it, and the worst is he will say it to me. I don't mind if he says it to his toys, but he gets in trouble when he tells me to stop it. I tried taking treats away, but once he knew treats were gone for the day, he would repeat the phrase over and over. A time out in his room behind a baby gate is what works the best. It breaks my heart when he cries and says, "I'll be nice mama, I'll be nice." I don't know if those 2 minutes are longer for him or for me!
He is such a stinker, and I try really hard not to laugh when he says something naughty. For instance, I will be singing a song, and if he doesn't want me to sing it, he will start singing, "Stop it, stop it" to the tune of whatever song I am singing. Another time I said, "Lincoln, how about we go downstairs and play trains." He mimicked my voice and said, "How about...stop it." Dave asked him if he wanted some carrots and he told Dave, "want some stop it."
Another phrase I hear is "no mama, no mama, no mama, no mama, no mama" you get the idea. I don't know why he feels he has to respond to a question with that many no mamas.
This kid is addicted to milk! I have limited his milk intake to 3 times a day, because he wouldn't eat any food if I gave him all the milk he wanted. So, the other phrase I hear all day is, "Mama want some milk." I have explained he gets milk in the morning, before his nap, and before bed, and I know he understands, but he still tries hard to get more.
I laughed out loud at "want some stop it." That sounds like something Barry would say if I tried to get him to eat carrots!
